CURE Children’s Hospitals
CURE International is a global nonprofit network of children’s hospitals providing surgical care in a compassionate, gospel-centered environment. Services are provided at no cost to families because of the generosity of donors and partners like you.
CURE operates a global network of eight pediatric hospitals providing high-quality surgical and intentional ministry care for children with treatable disabilities. CURE supporters help provide services at no cost for families living in poverty.
CURE’S approach to healing goes beyond simply treating symptoms. We minister in word and deed to address the root of the difficulties facing children with disabilities.
Providing children and their families the Christ-centered counseling and support they need
Sharing comfort and encouragement from God’s Word
Providing games, crafts, and story times so children feel loved and cared for
Bringing medical and ministry care to children in remote regions
Training pastors and local churches to serve the disabled community and undo stigmas
Advocating for basic rights and removing barriers to healthcare for people with disabilities
Equipping and partnering with local governments, healthcare organizations, and churches to better serve children with disabilities
From their first meeting with a doctor to diagnostic testing and nutritional support, CURE is committed to ensuring children and families are prepared before, during, and after surgery.
X-rays and lab results help ensure that our doctors have all of the information needed to perform safe surgery.
The children we serve often suffer from malnutrition. We help them reach and maintain a healthy weight.
Medical teams meet with each patient to discuss different treatment options.
Once admitted to the hospital, patients and caretakers are provided with lodging and meals at no cost to the families.
Every day, CURE clinical teams provide life-changing surgery to children suffering from a wide range of disabilities.
After surgery, patients receive check-ups, physical and emotional therapy, and adaptive devices, like wheelchairs and crutches. The path to recovery even includes fun in the playroom.
Helping children improve strength and mobility after surgery
Providing support and monitoring recovery to ensure the most successful surgical outcomes
Providing everything from leg braces to prosthetic limbs to restore mobility to children
Managing pain helps a child quickly recover from their surgery
Providing devices like wheelchairs so children can navigate the world and maintain independence
More healthcare workers are needed to serve the millions of children living with treatable disabilities. We’re training them.
Neurological conditions leave children the most vulnerable. CURE Uganda’s training program has created a pipeline of skilled neurosurgeons.
Medicine and ministry go hand in hand. We’re training local workers to meet surgical needs and share the love of Jesus.
Regions where we serve lack training institutions. We are accredited by the The College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa to host residencies and fellowships to train the next generation of surgical specialists.
Excellence requires training. We offer year-long fellowships for doctors who seek specialized training in programs like orthopedics and neurosurgery.
CURE hospitals train surgical residents as part of their orthopedic or pediatric neurosurgical training programs through the government.

In order to protect your data, CURE uses a separate online giving portal where credit card information is stored. To update your card, click here, or call our Donor Services team at (616) 512-3104.
Gifts made to CURE through a third party or gifts from an IRA or stock are not always viewable in your account. If you need information about those donations or a record of gifts made 2+ years ago, please contact our Donor Services Team.
Our EIN/tax ID number is 58-2248383.
Surgeries range in cost due to many factors, including complexity, recovery time, assistive devices, and country of service. Surgeries with faster recovery times and fewer operating room hours can cost approximately $1,000. Other more complex surgeries can reach $2,000. Some patients do need multiple surgeries.
Yes, you can! When giving online, select the “Dedicate This Donation” box and follow the prompts to give in someone’s honor/memory. If you’re giving via check, please include a note with the person’s name and contact information (email or mailing address), and we will be sure to send them a letter letting them know about your donation.
CURE is a top-rated nonprofit organization by external accreditation agencies for its prudent use of funds. Please visit our Financial Accountability page to see our most recent financial numbers, including our annual report, administrative costs, and an independent financial statement/report filed by our auditors.
Unfortunately, even nonprofit organizations are charged fees by banks and credit cards to process donations. We recommend giving in whichever way is most convenient for you. Checks are the least expensive to process. If you would like to help cover the cost of transaction fees for an online gift, that option is available when you are making your gift.
Donations via electronic means (credit card, debit card, or EFT) may be refunded in the form of the original payment if the donor makes a request within 24 hours of the donation processing. Requests must be sent via email to [email protected]. Donations by any other means (cash, check, gift-in-kind, etc.) are final and will not be refunded.
Please contact our Donor Services Team rather than submitting a dispute with your bank or credit card company. CURE is charged a fee for every dispute filed against us, so we would prefer to help resolve any issues directly.
There is a minimum donation amount of $10 if you give on our website. Implementing this minimum was necessary to reduce the number of fraudulent donation attempts on our website.
All donors will receive an annual giving statement that meets the needs of the IRS at the end of January. If you gave a gift online and provided an email address, an emailed acknowledgment will be sent. To manage costs well and reduce waste, we will only send paper acknowledgments for gifts $25 or larger. However, electronic receipts can be downloaded from our website or requested from our donor services team.
Monthly donations will continue to process until we receive a cancellation request. If you know you want to give for only one year, please indicate that in the comment box when signing up. You can also log in to your CURE account to cancel your monthly donation at any time. Our Donor Services Team can help answer any questions as well.
You may update the amount of your monthly donation or change the day it gets processed each month by logging into your account at donors.cure.org. If you need assistance, we’re happy to help! Simply contact our Donor Services Team or call (616) 512-3104 and let us know how you’d like to change your monthly giving.
You may pause or cancel your monthly donation by logging in to your account at donors.cure.org. If you need assistance, we’re happy to help. Simply contact our Donor Services Team or call (616) 512-3104 and let us know if you’d like to cancel or pause your monthly giving. If you plan to pause your giving, you can let us know what date you’d like to resume it.
No. Your gift is pooled with other donors to sponsor a child’s surgery every month. If you would like to support a specific hospital, we can support that request. Please include that request in the comments. If you are interested in sponsoring an entire surgery, please visit our Sponsor a Surgery page.
Please fill out and return the form to ensure we attribute your gift correctly. You may also reach out to our Donor Services Team for further instructions.
