What We Do
Play Therapy
Providing games, crafts, and story times so children feel loved and cared for
Through play and art therapy, CURE provides a safe environment for children with disabilities to feel respected, loved, and treated with dignity.
About Play Therapy
Children with disabilities are among the most vulnerable, marginalized groups. They are often isolated and hidden away, living in darkness, facing rejection and even abuse. Families may experience shame as they are viewed as cursed and responsible for their children’s conditions. They come to CURE feeling unwanted, unloved, and carrying physical and spiritual burdens. Through play and art therapy, CURE provides a safe environment for children with disabilities to feel respected, loved, and treated with dignity.
These therapies allow children to enjoy crafts and games, make new friends, begin to share their stories, and explore the love God has for them. CURE’s trained team of counselors adapts activities to the needs of each child—helping them identify and process hard feelings. Through the ministry, children learn to forgive, love, and build their confidence in God. Parents and caregivers receive guidance on how to support their child as they face challenges at home, school, and in the community.
