Easing Families’ Burdens with Lodging and Meals
Patients and their families come from all parts of the countries (and often neighboring countries) where we serve, sometimes traveling many hours or even days to get to a CURE hospital. And since it’s often too difficult to make that long journey every time they have a healthcare need, CURE works to ease that burden by:

More About Lodging and Meals
Meals and lodging are provided to all patients and caregivers who visit CURE. For patients who are still in need of acute care but aren’t fully ready to be discharged home, long-term lodging in one of CURE’s hostels is essential. Providing a safe, comfortable place for them to stay frees up bed space in the children’s ward and helps maintain a steady flow of patients through surgery and postsurgical recovery. Supporting nutritional needs for all patients with three meals a day helps ensure their bodies are strong enough for surgery. It’s all part of helping more kids heal—and heal well!
CURE patients who live too far away to travel to and from the hospital for treatment or who need extended care are housed in one of our long-term hostels. We also have hundreds of beds throughout the wards and intensive care units across all eight CURE hospitals for short-term stays.
CURE serves children living with treatable disabilities living in poverty at no cost to them or their families. Patients or their caregivers will never be charged for the services they receive. The cost of all care is provided by our generous and faithful donors.
