GRAND RAPIDS, MI- October 19, 2021: CURE International, an NGO operating a global network of pediatric hospitals, announces Dr. Bill Hennrikus and Dr. Eileen Hennrikus will put their years of experience and medical and surgical talents to work at Tebow CURE Hospital to improve the lives of children suffering from treatable disabilities starting November 8, 2021. They currently reside in Hershey, PA and serve as Emeritus Professors at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Bill and Eileen are the only physician couple to have been elected to the Penn State College of Medicine Distinguished Educator Society.
Dr. Bill Hennrikus received his medical degree from Georgetown University, his Orthopaedic Residency Training at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, and his fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital – the primary pediatric teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. He is past Chairman of the American Academy of Pediatrics Orthopaedic Section and a past member of the boards of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA) and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Bill Hennrikus has authored more than 150 scientific articles and book chapters.

Dr. Eileen Hennrikus also received her medical degree from Georgetown University. She is a professor of medicine at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and an Internal Medicine Specialist in Hershey, PA. Dr. Eileen Hennrikus has over 38 years of experience in the medical field. At Penn State, she has served as co-director of first-year Scientific Principles of Medicine and as a clinical skills adviser in Foundations of Patient-Centered Care.
“Bill and I have been associated with CURE International for years and have seen first-hand the good they do around the world,” said Dr. Eileen Hennrikus. “For us, to be able to join in that mission is a dream come true.”

Established in 2014 through a partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, CURE Philippines performs over 700 life-changing reconstructive plastic and orthopedic surgeries every year for children suffering from treatable disabilities.
