GRAND RAPIDS, MI – April 7, 2025: CURE International, a Christian global nonprofit organization based in Grand Rapids, MI, that operates a global network of eight charitable pediatric hospitals around the world, has welcomed Christi Huizenga Renaud, MBA, as Chief Donor Relations Officer (CDRO). The CDRO role is a new executive position created to expand and elevate the experience that generous supporters have when they entrust CURE with their resources.
“I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to support CURE donors as they fuel profound improvements in the physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of children around the world,” said Christi Huizenga Renaud. “The tens of thousands of generous people who have contributed in any way to CURE’s mission throughout its 25+ years of impact are answers to prayers, and I look forward to helping them serve more children than ever before.”
In this new role, Renaud will be pivotal in advancing CURE’s mission of providing life-changing surgical care at no cost to children in Africa and the Philippines by fostering and sustaining deep connections with CURE’s supporters and partners. With a rich background in global ministry and nonprofit development experience across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, Renaud will help CURE provide high-quality medical treatment and intentional spiritual care for the world’s most vulnerable children.
“We are fortunate to add a professional like Christi to our team because of her wealth of relevant experience and the impact she has already had around the world,” said Justin Narducci, President and CEO of CURE International. “With Christi on the team, we intend to expand our life-changing work to provide world-class medical services to the world’s most vulnerable children.”
Most recently, Renaud served as Vice President of Marketing and Development at Plant With Purpose, where she led fundraising efforts to combat poverty, reverse deforestation, and promote spiritual renewal worldwide. Her leadership and expertise align seamlessly with CURE’s continued mission to make a lasting, transformational impact for children in need. She earned her undergraduate degree from Calvin University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of International Management.
