“I want to be a teacher!” proclaims Kembon proudly.

Kembon is a sweet little girl who has come to CURE Ethiopia seeking help a deformity in her leg as well as a length discrepancy between her left and right legs which makes it difficult for her to walk. “She started her treatment when she was just one”. says Anene, Kembon’s mother. Kembon has been to a couple of hospitals and has had three surgeries to try and help her with her leg problem but nothing has worked.

Kembon is a first born to her parents and she has a younger brother. Kembon told us she wants to go to school like the other children in her village but because of her condition she can't walk to long distances required to get there. Join us in helping this sweet kid's wish to come true!

Kembon's operation went well. Three surgeon worked together to carry out her surgery: two visiting doctors - Dr. Andrew and Dr. Marios - and one CURE Ethiopia surgeon, Dr.Tim. They moved a bone from her right leg to her left leg and then installed a frame on that leg. Moving the bone will help with reconstructing of her left leg and the frame will help adjust the length of the newly constructed left leg. Please keep this sweet child in your prayers for a speedy recovery! Photo of Kembon
