About Paul
Ignorance is bliss, and in Paul’s case, his mother really didn’t know that her baby’s bilateral fused digits were a serious problem. Paul was born into a family that lives in a remote part of Kenya, and after she gave birth to him, didn’t see it necessary to tell his father of their newborn's condition.
Paul’s father, Mwanza, noticed his connecting fingers when he was one month old, but still no action was taken to correct the condition. It wasn’t until Paul went to school that he realized he was different from his classmates and began complaining about his struggles.
Later, at one of our mobile clinics, Mwanza was informed that Paul’s hand could be treated. Praise God, Paul no longer has to accept his condition as normal and healing is on the way!! Paul is hopeful and looking forward to his life changing surgery in June.

Day 83Here are some pictures of Paul's first clean up since his surgery. Doctor said he was pleased with how the skin was growing! There was a little bit of infection, so we will do another cleaning then cast em' up again! http://bit.ly/NdBrZN
Monday July 9, 2012- Day 83Paul's treatment date has been changed to 07/09/2012 - Hey everybody look who showed up today!! Mr. Paul came in to get a cleaning! He will only be with us for a short period. We will do one more cleaning tomorrow then he should be on his way!!

Day 62During Paul's surgery doctor's released both of his pinkies from his ring fingers. They also had to grab skin from his stomach to help stitch up the now freely moving pinkies!
