WHAT WE DO

Medical Training

Each CURE hospital is a teaching hospital that equips the next generation of medical workers—training hundreds of local surgeons, doctors, nurses, and anesthesiologists each year. It’s how we strengthen national healthcare systems in countries where we serve.

Residency Rotations

CURE hospitals train surgical residents as part of their orthopedic or pediatric neurosurgical training programs through the government. These placements within CURE hospitals have a clinical and academic focus, preparing residents for their surgical exams and future careers.

Fellowship Programs

CURE offers year-long residencies for doctors and surgeons who seek specialized training in programs like orthopedics and neurosurgery.

CURE Neuro

In Uganda, CURE’s Neuro Fellowship Program trains surgeons in advanced neurosurgical treatment of infant hydrocephalus. The program is filling a huge gap of qualified surgeons in sub-Saharan Africa and has trained nearly 45 neurosurgeons.

PAACS Residencies

CURE partners with the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons to equip local physicians to meet surgical needs within their countries and share the love of Jesus.

COSECSA

Many CURE hospitals are accredited by the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (COSECSA) and host residencies and fellowships for pediatric orthopedics and neurosurgery, among others.
