Pius lives in Kenya and has an arm deformity, and in Kenya the sort of specialty medical care Pius needs is scarce. There are 100 million children in the world just like Pius who have little hope for the future.
Many can't play with their friends or go to school, and when Pius grows up, things that we hope for like marriage or finding a job will be difficult or impossible...all because Pius has a curable disability! But you can change Pius's life forever.

About Pius

Pius’ injury to his right arm was a result of a stunt gone badly. He had just finished his obstacle course, climbing up a stone tank, and just when he was about to lift up his hands as a show of victory, he slipped and fell off, hurting the back of his head and his arm in the process. The injury to his head healed quickly, but his arm, despite many physiotherapy sessions, had not shown any improvements. That said, CURE was their last resort, according to his mother Dorcas. Hopefully a last resort indeed as we pray that this past surgery has done the trick, getting Pius back to his tricks…safer ones at least.

  1. Day 457The last time we saw him was in August, and the next time we will be going to Nakuru will be in August. With most of the elbow cases, the success rate is usually so high and parents assume that they do not need to return for follow up, we pray that that is the case with Pius.

  2. Day 384Every time kids miss their appointments like this, we like to believe that it is because they are doing well and their parents feel that they no longer need any follow up. Please be praying that this is so for Pius as well. When he shows up though, we will let you know.
