About Esene
Esene is really excited for surgery at CURE, especially since the last operation she had at a different hospital was ineffective because of an infection she contracted while she was there. She is sad because kids at school called her "shiba" which means "crippled".
For fun, Esene likes to play with her friends, and the thing she is looking forward to most after recovering from surgery is "thanking God." What an amazing girl. She is in grade 3, and she wants to be a doctor when she grows up.
Esene's father brought her to CURE. He is a sign language teacher, and her mother stays at home with her and her siblings. After paying for an operation at another hospital that didn't produce any results, paying for another would be too costly and leave them with little money to support the family in other ways, so a free surgery here is a dream come true for Esene.
A few weeks after her operation, her younger uncle, Mintesanew, will come in for surgery on his clubfeet so they'll be recovering together back at home. You can support them both by following their stories, praying for them, or by giving financially. We cannot wait to see the change in this family after these kids get the surgeries they need!

Wednesday September 26, 2012- Day 77Esene's follow up appointment has been scheduled for 09/25/2012 - Esene was admitted last week for a potential surgery, but the schedule is so packed this month that it's now been moved back since she is still recovering from her previous operation. She'll be back at CURE next month.
