About Yeserash
Yeserash is a funny little girl. While I conducted our interview, she was cracking up at herself whispering under her breath english words that I spoke. I thought it was great so I encouraged it the whole time. She was fun to watch even when we weren't talking. She skipped around the office and twirled some little twig she found around in her fingers.
When I say "skip" I don't mean exactly how we would normally think of "skipping" around. Yeserash has a club foot, and her left leg is slightly longer than her right. This causes her some obvious problems when it comes to walking, and some other unfortunate problems socially. Yeserash has experienced some bullying. She is from a very rural area and does not attend school, but some of the other kids in her village make fun of her and spit on her.
Both of Yeserash's parents came to CURE with her, and are very excited about the hope they've found for their daughter. They are farmers and didn't expect to ever be able to pay for a surgery that would allow their child to walk like the other kids. Their love for Yeserash is obvious in their body language and the way that they smile at her when she does pretty much anything. I can't wait to see this family when they return!

JSON RSS- Day 104 We are still waiting to hear back from Yeserash's family on her followup status. Please pray that they make their way back here soon so that the doctors can check the progress of her recovery.
Thursday May 17, 2012 - Day 76 Yeserash's follow up appointment has been scheduled for 04/24/2012 - Yeserash did not arrive for her follow-up appointment on Tuesday. Hopefully she will come to clinic in the next couple of weeks to get checked out by the doctors. Please pray for travel expenses and safety as (hopefully) her and her mother are making their way back to CURE.
Thursday April 19, 2012 - Day 46 Yeserash's follow up appointment has been scheduled for 04/17/2012
Tuesday March 20, 2012 - Day 40 Yeserash had yet another cast change today. This should be her last one for a while.
Wednesday March 14, 2012 - Day 38 Yeserash's treatment date has been changed to 03/12/2012 - Yeserash is scheduled for another cast change today. (her second) Each time she gets a cast change, she goes under anesthesia again so thank you for all of the financial support.
Monday March 12, 2012 - Day 35 Yeserash's treatment date has been changed to 03/09/2012 - Yeserash got a new cast on today. Yesterday she was so happy because the spiritual director, Mesfin, gave her a little stuffed lamb to play with.
Friday March 9, 2012 - Day 32 Yeserash had her first cast change and is doing well.
Tuesday March 6, 2012 - Day 26 Yeserash is in recovery at CURE Ethiopia
