Meron lives in Ethiopia and has clubfoot, and in Ethiopia the sort of specialty medical care Meron needs is scarce. There are 100 million children in the world just like Meron who have little hope for the future.

Many can't play with their friends or go to school, and when Meron grows up, things that we hope for like marriage or finding a job will be difficult or impossible...all because Meron has a curable disability! But you can change Meron's life forever.

You can help

About Meron

Meron is a charming little 1 year and 10 month old boy, unless you are approaching anywhere near his clubfeet. When I needed a picture of his tiny feet, he lost it, but he regained composure when someone else in the room pretended to karate chop me. Sounds like a typical little boy to me.

Meron has had one previous operation to correct his crooked feet, but it was unsuccessful. They returned back to the way they were shortly after. This time, though, the hope is that his surgery will prove successful, and he will be able to walk normally once he heals. Aside from the problem with his feet, Meron also has a dislocated hip joint. This cannot be taken care of until his feet are corrected and his leg muscles become strong enough to handle the hip surgery.

His mother is very determined to help her son. She is willing to do what it takes to allow Meron to have a normal childhood where he can run and play with the other children. Let's help make that dream possible.

His clubfoot surgery is fast approaching on February 16, and from there he will be casted for 6 weeks, then put in braces until he is strong enough to walk on his own. We need to be praying for all of these needs as he embarks on this new journey in becoming CUREd.
