About our newest children’s hospital!
In 2020, CURE International joined with the Zimbabwe Orthopedic Trust to form the CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe which specializes in the treatment and care of children living with physical disabilities. The $5 million dollar hospital was built and refurbished by the Zimbabwe Orthopedic Trust in partnership with the Zimbabwean government and sits on 10 acres of land. The hospital campus comprises 4 buildings, housing 45 patient beds in the newly refurbished children’s ward and a separate small private patient ward. The hospital also houses a newly constructed operating theater block with three operating rooms. There is a central administration block that houses offices, an outpatient clinic, kitchen and laundry. The CURE Children’s hospital of Zimbabwe is the first hospital in Zimbabwe to serve vulnerable children and families through the provision of orthopedic and spiritual care and is set to open early 2021.
