Conditions We Treat

Orthopedic Surgery

Bowed Legs ➜

Legs that bend outward at the knee, often causing pain, damage, or arthritis in the knees, hips, and ankles

Clubfoot

Condition where the foot is twisted inward, causing an awkward gait, painful sores, and calluses on the foot

Genu Valgum (Knock Knees)

Legs that curve inward at the knees, leading to knee damage and/or an unbalanced stance

Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bones)

Soft or weak bones that are not formed correctly or bend and break frequently, impacting other body systems, including the heart and lungs

Untreated Trauma (Neglected Fractures)

Untreated broken bones that heal improperly, leading to persistent infections, nerve and ligament damage, and possible amputation

Windswept Legs

The combination of bowed legs and knock knees; one leg bows inward and the other outward, resulting in shortened limbs, painful arthritis, and trouble walking

Plastic Surgery

Burn Contractures

Lack of joint movement or mobility due to a severe, often untreated burn that limits a child’s mobility and ability to fully participate in life

Cleft Lip

A gap or opening in the upper lip that can cause feeding, dental, and speech complications

Cleft Palate

A gap or opening in the roof of the mouth, resulting in feeding difficulties and malnutrition, speech problems, dental issues, and even hearing loss

Neurological Surgery

Encephalocele

A sac of spinal fluid and brain tissue protruding from the head that causes developmental delays, vision problems, and other severe or life-threatening issues

Epilepsy ➜

A neurological condition affecting the brain and causing repeated seizures, resulting in loss of awareness, repeated involuntary movements, and muscle stiffening

Hydrocephalus

Excess cerebrospinal fluid leads to increased pressure in the skull, which can result in developmental delays, brain damage, and death

Spina Bifida

Condition where the spine fails to close over the spinal cord, putting the child at risk for infection and other life-threatening complications
