Robson is the only kid who has come to CURE with his own phrase when taking a photo - “Cheese for Jesus!”

Robson was born a very healthy child, but when he was a few months old, his mother noticed that something was not right. His head began to expand. When they went to the hospital, they were told that there was nothing wrong. As the months passed by, Robson's head kept on expanding and this worried his mother who decided to travel all the way to CURE to treat his hydrocephalus.

Robson is a sweet child whose favorite things are water and praying. Even though he is just now old enough to attend school, he prays for all the babies in the ward and prays for their mothers as well. He always points at people and encourages them to come to his bedside where he lays his hands on their heads and blesses them. Every morning he wakes up and assures hospital staff that he is fine, and that he has a passion to pray. Even young children can be an example to us! Let us join him in his prayers for healing!

Robson and his mama Sashi were at CURE this morning. It is a hard story to tell because Sashi has been through so much in the last few months. She has lost a few key family members and her job so she's had to relocate from the urban area where they were living into a rural setting. Finding food to feed her seven children has been hard, and she shares this with sadness in her voice and eyes. All these problems have had a very negative effect on Robson who has lost weight because of the poor diet. In consultation with Dr John, we all had a sweet moment because we discovered that he can walk and he was able to take two steps! Dr John emphasized physiotherapy but Sashi cannot afford the transportation to regularly make here to Lusaka. This means Robson's chances of walking are really low without the right exercise. In regards to Robson's recovery of hydrocephalus, our little pastor is doing well and he came with the same spirit of happiness that we are used to. Please continue to keep this precious family in your prayers. Photo of Robson

Stu couldn't believe it when she saw Robson this morning! They posed for one incredibly awesome selfie and said "Cheese for Jesus" as per tradition. Robson came for his review and the doctor says he is doing fine! We love you pastor Robson! Photo of Robson

When Robson entered the ward yesterday, everyone who knew him smiled, and all those who did not know him wanted to meet him immediately. The ward was filled with so much warmth and energy just because of one little boy who defies the odds against hydrocephalus. Robson is back for his review and he looks and sounds great! In typical Robson style, he was been wheeled around the room giving inspired prayers and touching all the kids in sight. We are so happy that everything is fine with our favorite little preacher. We are extremely grateful that people took time to pray for a little boy who prays for everyone but himself! Let's keep Robson in our prayers as he continues his healing journey. Robson has inspired us to always put Jesus first and to ask for cookies in a humble and polite way! Photo of Robson

After an explosive weekend in the ward filled with prayer and laughter, Robson has left CURE. We are so happy that he has been declared fit enough to go back home to his brothers and sisters who he missed tremendously. Robson was very happy and he took the time for one last prayer as he was leaving us. We are happy to see Robson out the door in a healthy state but we will truly miss the joy and laughter that he added in our ward. Photo of Robson

Our little pastor is having a very good day today! He is himself and we are so gad to see him this way! He has spent most of his day cheering people up and having fun conversations with his mom about everything he will get her one day when he is old enough. We love that he is doing better! Please keep him in your prayers. Photo of Robson

Robson is always praying and blessing people in the ward every chance he can. Today, we encourage everyone to pray for Robson because he is not feeling too well. He was sick all night and he has barely said a single word today. He has been resting all day and managed to get up at lunch and eat something. We decided to remind him that when things look bad, it is never a bad idea to stick your chin up and say “Cheese for Jesus”. Photo of Robson

Third try was the charm for our mini pastor! Robson finally went for his surgery and we are happy and relieved! The doctors performed an ETV surgery on him to help with the water build up in his head. We thought our dear friend would be feeling low and tired after the long surgery but he is still as talkative and as loud as ever! He even took the time to say "Cheese for Jesus" over and over again! Robson also wants people to know that he is healed in the mighty name of Jesus and that cookies rock! We are glad our six-year-old pastor has his priorities right. Photo of Robson

Robson did not end up having surgery yesterday. However, he is in a good mood today because he gets to eat and play and not stress about surgery. Robson is still our little prayer warrior who prays for everyone every chance he gets. He says he is not sick, but healed in Jesus name. We are inspired by the faith of this little one! Robson wants to be a pastor when he grows up so he can continue praying for those in need. We have also discovered that he loves taking pictures. According to Robson, it will always be "Cheese for Jesus!" Photo of Robson

Robson is having a great day! He is going to theatre later today and is feeling good about it! In the meantime, he is having fun trying on sunglasses and rocking them! Please pray for a successful surgery! Photo of Robson
