Just when our doctors thought Samson was stable enough to be discharged, Sylvia reported that he had a fever. "He was really hot, and he cried the whole night, but I thank god that nurses were there to help," Sylvia told us as she prepared to go to the lab. We will take blood samples and run some tests with the hope that we can find what's bothering him and treat it. We also noticed the Bible on Sylvia's bed and commended her for reading the word. "The scripture that has given me strength through this time is one that says, 'With God, everything is possible,' " Sylvia told us. Let's continue to believe and stand with Sylvia that Samson will get healed in Jesus' name.
Teresa was supposed to come back for a follow-up with Innocent yesterday, but they never came. We tried calling her phone, but there was no answer which wasn't all that surprising since the network doesn't have great coverage in their part of the country. We will continue to call them and hopefully, we can get in touch. With this said, we're not too worried. The last time we saw them, Innocent's wound had healed properly and he was doing really well. We ask that you continue praying with us to get in touch with them.
Our doctors were happy to see James at our recent mobile clinic near James' home. James has made significant progress as he now plays, rolls in bed, and rolls his neck well. He still isn't able to sit up by himself, so we're working on that. The doctors recommended further physical therapy to help train him and strengthen his muscles. Mary was urged to continue with the exercises she was taught at CURE to help him learn to sit. Thank you for your love and support.
Mercy was finally discharged as her condition was found to be stable! We also found that the pathway created in her brain was working well as the fluid is being drained properly. As they went home, Nancy was advised to continue taking great care of Mercy until we see them again in a few weeks at our mobile clinic. Thank you so much for helping make the surgery possible!
Guess who came back for their review? Yes, David is back and he is doing really well! "Thank you mama for taking great care of this boy," Dr. Emma told Molly. The water is draining well from David's head though Molly says he still cries a lot. "We thank God that you have come and will definitely check David out to make sure he is fine before you are discharged." Dr. Emma added. Please welcome them back and send them a get-well message!
