Abdoul is a 6-years-old boy accompanied to CURE Niger by his grandmother Hadiza. They came for a correction of Abdoul's knock knee. His mother is traveling and has left him with his grandmother who is currently accompanying him. Hadiza told us that Aboul's mother has four children, all boys and Abdoul is in third born. They noticed the deformity of his knees when he started to walk. She said that her grandson had already been admitted once to CURE Niger in the past for correction of a cleft lip. Now he has returned for treatment for his knock knee through a referral by another NGO. Their plan for the child is to enroll him in school starting next year and healing now will get him on the right track. Please join us in praying for Abdoul as he starts his treatment!
Glad to have met Abdoul Malick in the physical therapy room with his mother Hadiza sitting next to him. He is doing wonderfully. The physical therapist has just finished making a new cast for him. Please continue to pray for his recovery.
We found Abdoul Malick sitting on his grandmother's foot in front of the consultation room waiting his turn to see the consulting doctor. We spoke with his grandmother, and she told us that his health is progressing well. She really thanks, God. Please continue to pray for his total healing.
Abdoul Malick has been at home recovering for a bit, but he swung back by today to get a new cast on! Healing is a slow process, but one that we're excited is going well! Please continue to pray for his recovery as his body does the hard work from the comfort of his home.
Abdoul Malick has had his surgery to straighten his leg and he is already back in the ward recovering! The surgery was a straight forward one where the surgeons adjusted the angles of the bones in his leg. He's in a little post-op discomfort at the moment, but our nurses are taking good care of him! He's also got some of the ward stuffed animals to keep him company!
