“Every time when I think about her, it makes me very sad. I had to carry her, to move her around and we both fell sometimes and it is very hard for me," says Zeritu, Medina’s mother and she continues, "I have been through a lot and I just want her to be healed.”
Medina is a sweet girl! She is a second child for her family and she has one older sister. Medina came to CURE with her mother Zeritu seeking help for her bone condition. This is not their first hospital experience, Zeritu told us that she took her to different clinics and hospitals but they couldn't find the help they needed. The last hospital they went to told them about CURE and they came to us. Medina used to walk and play with her friends but three years ago her leg problem got worse, and she could not walk or play with her friends anymore. While she was still in grade one, she was forced to quit her school because of it. Medina also told us, “I want to go back to school and be a teacher someday.” Join us welcoming Medina and Zeritu while they start their healing journey!
