Teddy's surgery was successful and he was allowed to go and recover in the comfort of his home. We will see him in a couple of weeks when he comes to see the doctor. We are so grateful for your prayers and support of Teddy's healing for other kids like him!
Our little friend Maggy will go through a series of casting to allow the tissues around her foot to soften before she can have surgery. She had her first cast applied on her leg yesterday and will stay around for several more before she can have surgery. Please pray for patience as she goes through this with her aunt.
Bridget went to the operating room yesterday to have her burn contracture around her elbow released so she can stretch her hand properly. The procedure involves carefully getting rid of the hard skin that forms scars, extracting skin from another part of the body and grafting it over the area where the surgery has been done. Bridget's operation was successful and now she needs your prayers and encouraging words as she recovers in the ward!
Maggy is held back a bit because of her disability and the fact that she hasn’t interacted much with other kids. We hope that she'll be able to open up during her short stay at CURE and love seeing life from a different perspective!
Bridget is very confident and has a strong personality. She is Nancy's sixth child, and her siblings may have contributed to her unique character. We have an entire week to interact with and get to know her better. Would you please let her know that you are following her story by sending a Get-Well Message? God bless you as you plan to do this!
