Every one of CURE’s eight permanent pediatric hospitals is a place where health and mobility are restored, spiritual lives are transformed, and hope is renewed. And all of this is made possible by our more than 1,500 dedicated and compassionate employees.

For many, their work is more than a job. It’s a calling.

Temesgen

Child Mentor, CURE Ethiopia
8 Years of Service

Trained in child development, Temesgen feels called by God as a Child Mentor, helping vulnerable kids heal while learning to connect with the Lord, themselves, and the world. “You may find people or organizations that work to help kids heal from physical, psychological, and spiritual conditions separately. CURE works toward all three.”

Melanie 

Procurement and Inventory Supervisor, Tebow CURE Philippines
12 Years of Service

Melanie began with Tebow CURE at its opening, eager to support surgical teams in the OR—and that passion has never faded. “Behind every inventory line item is a child’s miracle. When I look at our warehouse shelves, I see the tools that will allow a child to walk, run, and live disability-free.”

David

Orthopedic Assistant, CURE Zambia
2 Years of Service

A carpenter by trade, David draws on his own experience with limb loss as he crafts orthopedic devices for children at CURE Zambia. “The work I do at CURE encourages me and gives me hope. Then I also give hope to those children who are very heartbroken. That’s why I’ve chosen to work for CURE.”

Dr. Sam

Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon and Medical Director, CURE Malawi
25 Years of Service

Dr. Maina is inspired by CURE’s mission to live out Christ’s call to care for those in need. “The resources donors have entrusted to us go a long way in changing not just a child’s life but entire families, communities, and eventually a nation,” he says. “This is what Christ was referring to when he said I needed clothes and you clothed me” [Matthew 26:36].

Livingstone

Business Development Manager, CURE Kenya
14 Years of Service

In 1998, Livingstone received life-changing surgery at CURE for scoliosis. Today, he helps others in need, just as he once was, find their way to CURE. “Having gone through the journey myself, I understand the challenges many children and families face, and it inspires me to help connect them to hope, restoration, and healing.”

Gideon

Audiology Laboratory Assistant, CURE Zambia
10 Years of Service

Born deaf, Gideon communicates through sign language and finds great purpose in helping patients hear while serving as a positive example. “If my experience can inspire even one person to believe in themselves or help one patient feel seen and understood, then every challenge I have faced has carried meaning beyond myself.”

Esther

Human Resource Officer, CURE Uganda
17 Years of Service

Esther sees her work as a proclamation of God’s kingdom through compassion and service. “Every action, big or small, points back to God’s love and His kingdom. I see my role as co‑working with Him, whether through supporting the team, caring for families, or simply being present in the mission.”

John

Orthopedic Technician, CURE Kenya
5 Years of Service

John lives with clubfoot and says his role helps him feel included as a valued member of society. “I serve people with disabilities and I, too, live with disability, so it gives me the sense that I am not alone.”

Kairu

Operating Room Aide, CURE Uganda
6 Years of Service

Every successful surgery begins with a safe, sterile operating room—a responsibility Kairu proudly carries. “Knowing that my work is part of a Christ-centered mission gives it deeper meaning. It reminds me that every task I do is a service to God and to the children and families we serve.”

Pastor Method

Spiritual Ministry Supervisor, CURE Zimbabwe
3 Years of Service

Before joining CURE, Pastor Method worked as a police officer and a pastor. He feels called to help change lives through CURE. “I could preach from many pulpits, but serving at CURE allows me to be part of a team that brings literal, life-altering transformation to children who need to know they are seen, valued, and loved by God,” he says.
