CURE’s Mission Support Center (MSC) in Grand Rapids, MI is looking for a Donor Engagement Volunteer who will assist the Advancement Team in telling the story of CURE. This person’s primary responsibilities will be to express CURE appreciation to donors for helping kids heal. This volunteer will sign and thank donors on postcards, and assist with mailings (e.g., run mail through the postage machine, and/or apply stamps, helping with receiving mail, etc.). This volunteer role would be around 4 hours of service, one day per week.
CURE MSC GR office is located at 70 Ionia Ave SW, Suite 200. This volunteer opportunity is during office hours, Monday – Friday between 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Trip Location: Malawi, Philippines, Zimbabwe
Trip Description: CURE is offering a limited number of self-funded Medical Student learning opportunities alongside our medical co-workers to assist with patient care. Volunteer opportunities are limited to 4th year medical students. Please note that CURE cannot grant academic credit, but can work with a volunteers academic institution to help obtain credit. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience
Focus Areas: orthopedics, plastic, reconstructive, anesthesiology, or physiotherapy.
Trip Cost: Plane ticket and in-country expenses (accommodations, meals, travel insurance, etc) to be covered by volunteer.
Trip Opportunities: Medical Students at a CURE Hospital have the opportunity see the incredible transformation, both physically and spiritually, of some of the world’s most vulnerable children living with correctable disabilities. Depending on medical experience and CURE Hospital capacity, Medical Students may have the opportunity to:
• Engage in world-class medical care
• Participate in rounds, and observe in the OR
• Gain practical insight to the treatment of correctable disabilities
• See the holistic process of medical and spiritual care
• Witness the workings of hospital administration
• Experience a different culture
Focus Areas: Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Trip Description: CURE is looking for Occupational Therapists to come alongside our medical co-workers and assist with patient care. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience.

Trip Length: 1-2 weeks (or longer)

Trip Cost: Plane ticket and in-country expenses (accommodations, meals, travel insurance, etc) to be covered by volunteer.

Trip Description: CURE is looking for Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons to come alongside our medical co-workers to assist with patient care. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience.
Trip Length: 1-2 weeks (or longer)

Trip Location: All CURE Hospitals (except Uganda)
Trip Cost: Plane ticket and in-country expenses (accommodations, meals, travel insurance, etc) to be covered by volunteer.

Trip Description: CURE is looking for Physiotherapists to come alongside our Physiotherapy Team to assist clinically with patients and/or provide teaching opportunities. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience.

Trip Description: CURE provides limited opportunities for Senior Physiotherapy Students to shadow our Physiotherapy Team as they provide patient care. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience.

Trip Length: 1-2 weeks (or longer)
Trip Dates: Flexible
Trip Cost: Plane ticket and in-country expenses (accommodations, meals, travel insurance, etc) to be covered by volunteer.
Nursing Focus Areas: pediatrics, post surgery care, operating, critical care, infection prevention and control services, and PICU in orthopedics, neuro, and reconstructive surgeries.
Trip Description: CURE has a limited number of opportunities for Registered Nurses to come alongside our medical co-workers to assist with patient care in a Clinical or Educational/Training capacity. Nursing volunteers in an educational capacity can expand upon surgical nursing topics for teaching. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience.
Trip Length: 2-6 weeks

Depending on medical experience and CURE Hospital capacity, Residents/Fellows may have the opportunity to:

Trip Description: CURE is looking for Residents and Fellows to come alongside our medical co-workers to assist them with patient care. Volunteer opportunities for Residents are subject to schedule availability and staff capacity. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience
Trip Length: 2-4 weeks

Trip Location: Kenya, Ethiopia, Malawi, Niger, Philippines, Zambia

Focus Areas: Clubfoot, Limb Reconstruction, Foot and Ankle, Congenital Hand Deformities, Congenital Longitudinal Deficiency Symptoms, Neuromuscular Disorders, Pediatric Spine Deformity, Shoulder and Brachial Plexus Surgery, etc.
Trip Description: CURE is looking for Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons to come alongside our medical co-workers to assist with patient care. In addition, we ask that all volunteers come with an attitude of being a servant and ready to share skills that you have learned from your experience.
