De Villiers du Plessis

Facility Manager / Niger

De Villiers oversees all of the preventative and corrective maintenance at CURE Children’s Hospital of Niger—ensuring the equipment and buildings function as a safe place for surgeries. In this role, he gets to do what he loves: working with people, solving problems, sharing kingdom values, serving children and giving them hope.

Since 2000, De Villiers has been involved in missions construction and discipleship training. He worked in civil services for Township Development, building roads, working in water development, and constructing houses. He received a national diploma for technicians and a bachelors in civil engineering—both in South Africa.

In his spare time, De Villiers likes reading, eating good food, and enjoying nature. He and his wife Eleanor share two children and four grandchildren.
