Inonge is a sweet 11 month old girl that is absolutely adored by her family. She has the biggest head you have ever seen, but even bigger than that is her personality! She loves company and every now and again will flash you a big smile as you sit and chat with with her.
At 3 months of age, Inonge’s head started growing faster than the rest of her body. Thankfully, Inonge’s mother, Viola, knew about what we do here at Beit CURE. Inonge immediately had a shunt procedure done which has worked perfectly until few months ago when she started having fevers and seizures. She has come back to get sweet Inonge some help. The doctors are currently running some tests and they think her shunt is malfunctioning. Hopefully, they will figure things out soon so that Inonge can get a replacement and start recovering. Please join us in praying for Inonge's healing and peace for Viola.
Inonge is doing very well! We were so glad to see her. She looks so much better than the last time we saw her! The doctors like what they see! She is making really good progress! We will be seeing her in 6 months time! Please be praying for Inonge and her family!
Inonge came for her review this morning with her mother and grandmother. She was wearing a very pretty dress and looked adorable! Her mother and grandmother are also doing fine. Inonge is healing very well and our doctors were pleased with her progress and the care she was being given. We are glad that everything is going well for this deserving family. Please continue praying for them and for more good news at follow ups in the future!
Inonge came to see us today. Oh, this sweet girl! She is doing well, sleeping, eating, and just being her sweet self! She really has the best family! They are the most grateful people you have ever seen. Today, Inonge’s mom and grandma brought CURE Zambia staff two beautiful cakes! They just wanted us to know how grateful they are for everything we have done for them. It was very sweet of them. And no thanks necessary, we love serving these people! Families like Inonge make what we do so worth it! We wish Inonge all the best as she keeps recovering! We are excited to see her at her next followup. Please keep this family in your prayers.
Inonge left the hospital today! She is doing so well that Dr. Kachinga decided it was time for her to head home. The entire family was delighted, and her grandmother was so happy she started to cry, saying, “I can’t express in words how good CURE has been to us. You have kept us really well and I am very thankful.” Inonge’s follow up date is this coming Tuesday so we will see our sweet girl soon! Thank you for your support and please continue praying for her and her entire family.
We snuck up on Inonge and Viola having some much needed mommy daughter time. She is doing well today after surgery yesterday. Please keep praying that this sweet girl makes great strides in her recovery process. She is a trooper!
Inonge had a successful surgery. Her temperature came down significantly so the doctors decided it was time to do her surgery. She got a shunt revision which was fairly straightforward. Inonge is now in recovery and is doing fairly well. She cried a lot after surgery but is now sleeping peacefully. Please continue to pray for healing for Inonge and peace for Viola as Inonge continues to get better.
Inonge has a very wonderful family. Besides her mom, she is also cared for in the hospital by her grandmother. We love the beautiful relationship we see between Inonge's mom and grandmother. Typically, moms and daughters in law have challenges in getting along, especially in this culture, but to see how tirelessly Inonge's grandma works to show up everyday and help out with Inonge fills our hearts with joy! We love to see families working so well together. Inonge is seen here being fed by her grandma and enjoying her lunch!
Inonge's condition is stable. Her temperature has gone down a little bit and and the doctors are waiting for it to stabilize and remain normal before putting a shunt in place. Please keep praying for this sweet girl as she keeps fighting to get better. She is a trooper!
Inonge is having a fair day. Dr Onen stopped by to visit her this morning. She has a fever that won't seem to go away. This hasn't stopped her though, she continues to fight and sing every chance she is awake. We just love our sweet Inonge! Please keep standing with us in prayer for this sweet girl!
Inonge is hanging in there! She is still being treated for an infection in her brain before she can get a shunt revision. Inonge likes to sing and so when we stopped by this morning to say hello, we found her singing and enjoying the song "All Things are Possible". Will you continue to pray with us that this sweet girl gets rid of her infection? We cant wait for her to get better so she can go home!
Inonge’s condition has stabilized and she is enjoying the company of her grandmother who keeps playing gentle gospel music to her. She had a tough day yesterday when numerous tests were taken which she did not appreciate very much. But today has been much better, she has hardly cried and she is relaxed and calm.
Inonge has had a very long weekend. Her temperature has kept rising and dropping, she has undergone many tests today and she keeps crying. Inonge’s mom is hopeful that the results of the tests will be alright. Please continue praying for Inonge and her family as they support her through this trying moment in her little life.
Inonge had a rough weekend. Her temperature kept rising and dropping unexpectedly. She did not sleep well because she developed a headache in the night and which also contributed to her high temperatures. Please continue praying for Inonge because she is a sweet little girl who needs all the love and healing she can get!
Inonge had surgery yesterday and is recovering well today! We stopped by her bed to say hello and she was wide awake, we love it when the kids are wide awake post op! Inonge’s mother is grateful that everything went well with surgery. Thank you for praying for her!
