What am I giving to?

CURE in Uganda

The picture above is of CURE in Uganda. Everyone who serves with CURE in Uganda, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Tendo. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Tendo. When you give a gift through Tendo's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Uganda. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Tendo. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“When I was pregnant I had about five ultra sound scans and I went for all my antenatal appointments, but this sickness wasn’t seen. It pained me so much when I saw him like this. I just cried.," Lukia shared. Four of her sisters and her husband Gadhafi accompanied her to the labor ward and they encouraged her while the doctors dressed the baby’s wound. Tendo’s doctor then referred him to Mulago but her brother whose child had just been treated at CURE hospital advised her to come here instead of Mulago. Despite the fact that her first child has a myeloschisis, Lukia says she plans to have five more children. She says, “I’ll take care of him until he is mature”. Lukia is a businesswoman and so is her husband. When she was scheduled to come to CURE she employed one lady to help her run her shoe business. Lukia hails from a Muslim extended family and she hasn’t been involved in the spiritual ministry here at hospital, but she said that her father is aware of her baby’s condition and that he is praying. Join us in praying for Tendo's healing and that Lukia would know the love of Jesus through her interactions with our staff here!
