CURE in Philippines
The picture above is of CURE in Philippines. Everyone who serves with CURE in Philippines, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Kwain. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.
We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Kwain. When you give a gift through Kwain's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Philippines. Have more questions? Ask us.
Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!
When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Kwain. We call it being a CURE Hero!
Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“I want to stay here! Can we live here?” Kwain jumps on the bed in excitement!
After one year of being locked down at home because of the pandemic, Kwain finally got to see the “outside world” away from his own community, so he can finally receive the treatment that he needs. “Kwain was a healthy boy when he was born and it wasn’t until later when we saw that the achilles tendon on his right foot looked taut. It became more obvious as he grew older and he started walking on his tiptoes,” shares Kwain’s mom, Laarnie.
Hoping to get her child treated, Laarnie didn’t know where to go especially at the height of a worldwide health crisis. Thankfully, Laarnie heard about Tebow CURE through a family friend. “When I found out that there’s an opportunity for healing, I went right away to have Kwain’s foot checked-up. His father Oliver and I were worried about how much it would cost, especially because he doesn’t have a stable job, but I went anyway. Once this pandemic is over, I don’t want my child growing up being teased and bullied by other kids from school or people outside our community. I want my child to know that I did my best to seek help for his healing.”
Because of your support, Laarni didn’t have to look so far for Kwain’s treatment and he can have the surgery that he needs despite the financial constraint. “I am so grateful! I didn’t know that Kwain’s healing was at hand! He can finally wear flip-flops and be able to walk with it very soon.” It is an honor to give hope and healing to kids like Kwain! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve kids in the Philippines!
Latest Updates
“I did not cry! I am so brave!” Kwain told us after Nurse Marvin removed his cast. Since he hasn’t used his operated leg for almost a month, it would take him some time to get used to walking again. The doctor advised him to take it slow until he’s able to fully put his weight on his foot! We will see him again in two weeks!
“I’m going home! I can walk now!” Kwain exclaimed when we visited him post-op. We told him that he will have to be patient and wear his new shoe (aka cast) for quite some time -- so his foot will stay flat on the ground once he’s able to walk again! We bade him goodbye as he went home to be reunited with his family. We will see him again by the end of the month to check on his progress!
Kwain was giddy on the way to the operating room since he got to ride on a wheelchair, which felt like riding on a toy car! The medical team worked on lengthening Kwain’s Achilles tendon, so his right foot becomes flat. His foot was then wrapped in a cast which will have to stay on for a couple of weeks. Mommy Laarnie was so relieved to be reunited with Kwain once his surgery was done! Thanks for praying!
