CURE in Philippines
The picture above is of CURE in Philippines. Everyone who serves with CURE in Philippines, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Princess. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.
We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Princess. When you give a gift through Princess's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Philippines. Have more questions? Ask us.
Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!
When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Princess. We call it being a CURE Hero!
Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“Even though Princess walks on her knees, she’s quick to move! But we still think that it’s way better that she can actually walk on her feet, so she won’t be behind in school. She’s very interested to participate in school activities and has a lot of confidence in herself! Even though some think that she’s disabled, I definitely know that Princess is fully able,” said Elly, Princess’ mother.
Princess loves to sing and dance! If she were to get an award from all her school activities, we would sum her up as “Miss Congeniality.” She has the best personality and likes to socialize with people. Although Princess occasionally comes across bullies and people staring, we know that her life is about to unveil an inspiring story for the world to hear.
Elly gave us a preview of what happened in 2013 as she tells us an unfortunate story. “A candle caused the fire that burned down our house. Princess was in there and she was only a couple months old. Because of the heat, her skin melted. We were at a local hospital for one month and eight days. I thought she was okay when we got home, but as it got healed, her skin started to contract.”
Princess and her family are thankful to those who offered help during the accident. A few years later, she still needs treatment to release the contracted skin around her leg. When we met her at mobile clinic, we were able to show a glimpse of hope that her dreams of being able to walk will soon come into reality.
With your prayers and support, you can be a part of Princess healing! We pray for God’s hands on her journey as God unfolds her story!
Latest Updates
We know it's been awhile since Princess came back but our field workers got in touch with her and encouraged her to come back for a follow-up. So when we saw her waiting in the lobby today, we were ecstatic as we caught her up with Get Well letters and a new splint! With some scar build up on her leg, we will have to schedule another surgery in the future, but nothing to worry about for now. In the meantime, she gets to enjoy school––attending all the school activities that she can! She will have another follow-up next year and we will decide when she comes back so we can maintain those wonderful straight legs! What a speedy recovery! Princess's bandages were unwrapped and she stood up today taking a few steps with some assistance! Princess' sweet smile never went away regardless of the pain that she went through for her healing process. The miracle that we get to witness, just like Princess' story, gives us joy to be a part of God's work! Thank you for being a part of that too and praying with us!
You're not a true princess unless you own a tiara. Princess felt like true royalty today after getting stellar treatment from Nurse Jhun during her dressing change. Although she's still not a big fan of it, she is just as forgiving as always. The good news is that she will not be wrapped up in a cast anymore, but will bring home a splint to help with healing. Princess goes home today but we will see her back in two weeks!
