Tdijani is one of those kids who is never still. He's got mischief in his eyes and fire in his soul. The only problem is his body can't keep up. Tdijani was born with a drop foot, medically speaking that's where his achilles tendon on his left foot is too short, forcing his foot into a permanent "tip-toe" position. For his entire life, Tdijani has struggled to cope with a personality that moves faster than his body. It's frustrating for a young man of this temperament. His family had all but given up on finding a solution to their ailment. That was until CURE Niger hosted an outreach clinic in a city nearby where Tdijani lives! Word got to Tdijani and his family dared to hope they had found accessible healing. They were seen by our doctors and informed that we could indeed heal Tdijani. This little bundle of energy is now here at the hospital with us, ready and willing to receive the healing he has so long dreamt of!
Tdijani, the little man with the big smile, is back for his follow up appointment! His foot is looking great and he is walking with no problems. His next follow up is scheduled for six months from now and just so happens to fall on Valentine's Day which isn't celebrated here, but is still a fun little fact!
Our little guy stopped by for his check up today and got his cast off! You can see him here washing his leg for the first time in weeks! The doctors say everything looks good and his next follow up appointment is in six months!
God answers prayers! Tdijani is well enough and got discharged this morning after a brief prayer time with our spiritual department! Praise the Lord! Please keep praying with us as Tdijani continues his recovery at home and we'll see him again in a few weeks to see how he's doing!
Tdijani is resting in bed and is already back to his joyful and mischievous self. It's incredible how fast he bounced back after his surgery! Most kids take a few days, but not this little guy. He'll stay here overnight again tonight and we wouldn't be surprised if he got discharged tomorrow!
Tdijani's surgery went amazingly! The doctors were successfully able to release the tendons and muscles they needed to. Tdijani was casted up and sent back to the ward for recovery! Please continue praying with us for safe and complication free healing as his body starts to do it's job!
Tdijani is terrorizing the our children's ward in the best way possible: with constant laughter and infectious smiles. We're glad this little man found his way to us and we can't wait to get started on his journey to healing! Will you pray with us that God uses this young man and his energy in unimaginable ways?
