Niger - Age 11
Alhadari returned to CURE Niger because he was scheduled for his next operation! He says he is happy because his leg will be even better, and he will be able to play and go back to school. Smiling, he told us that he was resting before going to OR. Please join us in praying for his comfort and his healing. Thank you!
Niger - Age 6
“It hurts me a bit. I understand why my brother Elisee cried the day he was operated on,” says Eli with a sassy smile. We explained that the pain would pass and he would soon be healed and happy! As it was for Elisee's surgery, Eli’s surgery aims to improve the alignment and mobility of his left leg to allow normal walking. Dr. Fasto cut the bone, realigned it, and supported the leg with a full cast. The procedure was successful, and Eli is now in the ward, resting next to his twin brother. Thank you for comforting him with your get-well messages.
Niger - Age 8
"I don't cry anymore. The pain is gone," says Ibrahim smiling as we visited him in the ward. He asked us to let him see his pictures because he likes them. Ibrahim says that he slept well and is ready to walk again. He added that a woman from the CURE spiritual team came to pray for him in the morning and told him that Jesus loved him and would heal him. Please pray for him as he goes home to continue his medication and recovery. He will be back after six weeks for a check-up!
Niger - Age 5
Fatouma was still in bed when we came to the ward to say hi to her. She wanted to see her pictures from the OR. Fatouma says she wants to go to school when she gets home as soon as she is better because all her friends are going to school too. Thankfully, this is closer and closer to becoming a possibility as Fatouma was discharged! She will continue her medication at home. She will return in a week for a bandage change. Let's pray together for her recovery, please.
Niger - Age 2
Saidou isn't a big fan of his new cast. He keeps complaining it's uncomfortable. To try and distract him, Ibrahim from the CURE Niger communications team went through the Jesus Picture Book with him. When Ibrahim asked him what he saw in the book, Saidou said by showing with his finger: "I see the children playing and running." Ibrahim explained to Saidou that Jesus loves children all over the world, and even him! Not long after, Saidou was discharged to go home! He will return in five weeks for a cast change and check-up. Please send him off with prayers. Thank you!
