“I like this hospital!” Mariam tells us smiling. "The doctor gave me the confidence that I can have my leg fixed here. For the moment the doctor said I can go home today and continue my recovery there. And this is awesome!" Her mother and her little cousin are happy to see her being cared for. Please continue to pray for Mariam’s recovery while at home. Don’t forget to comfort her with your get well messages. Thank you!

“This ice cream is soooooooooooooo gooooooood!” Safaatou told us, smiling next to her friend Nadia. Safaatou is doing great by God’s grace. She is chilling with the rest of the patients from the guesthouse. “I want to eat ice cream everyday!” she told us laughing. Besides ice cream, Safaatou has an extra reason for being so delighted. Koubra, one of her best friends and our long term patients is back in the hospital for her check-up. Ice cream and her sweet friend by her side, what a perfect formula for Safaatou's healing this week! Thank you for the lovely messages you sent to her and her sisters. They are truly giving her good laughter and power for the days ahead!

“It is sweet but coooooooold!” yelled Farida as she got a bit of brain freeze. This little princess is so funny! She makes anyone laugh when she tells how good our hospital is, especially because of our Ice Cream Friday! “I want more!” she whispered, smiling. Nana told us she realizes that her future will be great. "I am loved with a BIG LOVE. It is GOD'S LOVE. You are caring for me, considering me as your own child, I have never seen such kind of love! Thank you for your support and the joy you are giving to CURE kids through your prayers and support. God bless you all!

Most of the time, Inaya and Nana spend their time together. "I like her company," said Inaya. What is incredible is that Inaya speaks Hausa and Nana answers in Zarma (two completely different local languages)! Friendship knows no language barrier and this is such a great testimony among the kids at CURE. "We are teaching each other our language" Inaya says “I am also teaching her how to crochet.” Thank you for empowering these little girls and for your friendship! It is echoing in God's heart and theirs!

Surgeries are never easy but Nassirou is getting better with the encouragement of his new friend, Sabitou, right by his side. Also with lots of prayers and medicine around the clock, he is recovering well and he is gonna be discharged today to our guesthouse. Though he can't walk around for the moment Nassirou is not lacking friends to visit him. He knows that Jesus is the One who has the power to heal. May he experience His touch in his life on a deeper level as we continue to pray for a smooth-sailing progress from here!
