"My name is Noel and I would like to become a policeman. I want to help my country with the crimes and I believe I can do it!" introduced Noel.

Noel lives with his grandmother together with his other siblings. He's come here to CURE Malawi because he broke his right arm a while ago while playing with his friends. Noel's auntie had initially taken him to a nearby hospital where the doctors put his arm in a cast. A few weeks later, he got the cast off, but his arm had little improvement. Unsure what next steps were possible, Noel and his family just resolved themselves to make the best of a bad situation. In the time since then, Noel had to drop out of school because he can't use his arm. He is in constant pain and the dream to become a policeman seems to be fading away. "I do not know if I can become what I have always wished to become. I really wish I have a better arm one day," Noel admits.

Thankfully Noel, found out about us here at CURE Malawi where he will get the treatment he needs to get both his arm back and his dream of becoming a policeman back on track!

Noel's operation went really well! As we said yesterday, the doctors had to re-break Noel's arm in order to set it properly. While this sounds like a brutal process, the surgeons were very intentional with their actions and able to complete the process in a way which will give Noel back his arm! Join us in thanking the Lord for this big step forward! Photo of Noel
