Beatrice wheeled her daughter out to bask in the morning sun today. As they were outside, CURE security guard Peter realized that the brakes on Faith’s wheelchair weren’t properly engaged. He showed Faith how to do it, so that next time she can do it on her own and avoid any accidents. Faith is doing well, and we thank God for her healing process.

Look who is already doing well and recovering in the ward! Faith had company today, which she really enjoyed. Faith and her friend had fun singing and playing together. Faith currently doesn’t have a complete cast. Her current cast is just to be able to observe how her surgical site is doing. She will have a complete cast applied before she can leave to go home.

Very early this morning, Faith was among the very first children to be taken to the operating room to have surgery. By the time we were alerted, she was finished and already being wheeled back to the ward. She was a bit feisty, as she didn't know where she was and what was happening because of the anesthetic drugs, and we didn't want to show her in that state. Her surgery, which was all about making her leg straight, was successful. After she is completely healed, she’ll be able to wear shoes like all other kids her age.
