“We accept everything because he is God’s gift to us,” Yeabtsega’s mother, Sisay shared.

Little Yeabtsega and his mother Sisay came to CURE Ethiopia seeking treatment for Yeabtsega’s cleft lip and palate. This condition means Yeabtsega was born with an opening on the upper part of his lip and on the roof of his mouth. The medical center she gave birth in told Yeabtsega’s mother Sisay to take him to a hospital in their city and that hospital told them to wait a few more months until little Yeabtsega become stronger. While waiting, she met a previous patient of CURE Ethiopia and brought little Yeabtsega here.
“It is very difficult to feed him because of his palate and I’m always extra carful doing so,” says Sisay, and continues, “other than that, he is a healthy kid!”
Please join us in welcoming the family while they start their healing journey!
