The power of a mother’s love

Every day our ward is filled with little bodies waiting for healing, and every day I see mothers serving their children with all of their hearts. They wait and hope with anticipation for the day when they return home with a child who has a future they could never have imagined. While they are here I get the chance to observe them, know them, and fall in love with them.

Three weeks after I landed in Zambia I found myself sleeping on the ground in a tent in the bush with 40 other people and no electricity or cell service.
