Connection at its Core: A Global Misson with CURE

News | 8 Nov 2021

Finding your community is one of the most essential things to help further develop interests, passions, and goals. Having that support system can open new doors to opportunities you hadn’t heard of before and lead you on amazing paths. That is just one quality of the Global Missions Health Conference (GMHC) that CURE loves: it’s a place to find connection.

The Global Missions Health Conference is the largest medical missions conference in the United States, where medical professionals from all over the world come together to share their experiences and connect with others who have a passion for global healing and mission work. CURE has been to GMHC as an exhibitor for 15 years and a partner for four years now. “The partnership allows us to be more involved with GMHC! We’re supporting them and putting our weight behind them,” said Lola Raji, Talent Acquisition and Mobilization Manager at CURE International

While at the GMHC, CURE is able to grow our network. This can positively affect the number of people we hire, new donors, and our global reach by building strong relationships with attendees. Our partnership with GMHC helps familiarize medical professionals who travel across the globe with CURE International to form a mutually beneficial relationship. It’s a chance for medical professionals to get involved in our mission of healing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of God.

The Global Missions Health Conference is an excellent place for connecting with like-minded professionals passionate about sharing the gospel while helping those in need worldwide. “[We] focus on coming together. Even though we’re separate organizations, we still have the same purpose,” Heather Hunter, Director of Global Outreach at CURE International, said.

CURE International is honored to be a part of the incredible community that the GMHC fosters. We look forward to bigger and brighter futures with them as we collectively find new ways to spread healing and the gospel to those in need.

About CURE International

CURE International is a Christian nonprofit organization that operates a global network of pediatric surgical hospitals, which serve one of the world’s most marginalized and vulnerable populations – children with disabilities. Patients at CURE hospitals suffer from orthopedic, neurosurgical, and maxillofacial conditions that limit their mobility/functionality and opportunities for education and employment. In addition to world-class clinical service, CURE intentionally ministers to the emotional and spiritual needs of patients in its care and invests in training programs that aim to equip the next generation of health workers and strengthen national health care systems. Since inception, CURE has conducted more than 5.3 million patient visits and 330,000 surgical procedures around the world. For more information, visit https://cure.org/.
