Chief Medical Officer / Medical
Dr. Greg Bellig serves as Chief Medical Officer for CURE International. He has been a long-time friend and supporter of CURE and has also served with CURE in the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Haiti, and Uganda.
Dr. Bellig earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed his residency in anesthesiology at Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago, and completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesia at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He holds a specialty board certification in anesthesiology as well as a subspecialty board certification in pediatric anesthesiology from the American Board of Anesthesiology. Since 2003, he has been a Shareholder/Partner Pediatric Anesthesiologist with Central Anesthesia Service Exchange, Inc. in Sacramento, California. Since 2007, he has also served as the Director of Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia.
Dr. Bellig resides in Pennsylvania with his wife Julie and their five children, Olivia, Charlotte, Miles, Adeline, and Esther. In his free time, he is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys exploring with his family.

Dr. Richard Manning started working with CURE International in October of 2004, when he participated in the planning, design, and inception stages of the CURE hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan. His roles over the past eleven years have included Director General Surgery Fellowship program, Medical Director, and Executive Director, all of the CURE Afghanistan hospital in Kabul. In 2014, he was asked to consult as Interim Executive Director of the CURE hospital in the Dominican Republic. In January 2015, he accepted the full-time position of Director of Medical Operations at the CURE Mission Support Center in Pennsylvania. With his clinical training, administrative experience, and program management skills, he will work to help coordinate new initiatives between the Chief Medical Officer and the operations team at the Mission Support Center.

Dr. Becky Threatt serves as the Director of Nursing for CURE International. As the daughter of missionary parents, Becky grew up in Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, and Kenya. As a missionary herself she taught in the Eku School of Nursing in Nigeria and later at the Hamlin School of Midwifery in Ethiopia. Becky and her husband, Gary, also served as missionaries in Botswana and Ethiopia. Becky received her BSN from Dallas Baptist University, her MSN from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Gardner-Webb University. Becky has worked and taught in a wide variety of healthcare professions and countries throughout her lifetime. She brings an overwhelming passion to care for each person holistically.
