Head of Physiotherapy / Malawi
Andrew serves as the Head of Physiotherapy at the CURE Children’s Hospital of Malawi. In this role, he oversees the physiotherapy and wider therapy team in providing the best treatment for those under our care. Andrew graduated from the University of Southampton in early 2013 from the pre-registration MSc physiotherapy program. He has a BSc honors degree in sport science, and has been working toward MSc advanced practice modules in the UK.
Andrew has experience working with the National Health Service in the UK and a wide range of experience in the acute care setting leading a therapy team in the Emergency Department and in general medicine, both at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, UK. Working at CURE allows him to combine the expertise he has as a physiotherapist with the opportunity to share the hope of Jesus that can truly transform. CURE’s values resonated deeply with his own, and God opened the door to the opportunity to work at CURE.
Andrew is married to Maika, and they are blessed with one son. They love anything competitive and active, enjoy good food and good company, and deeply desire to serve God and join Him with what He is doing.
