Kayleigh
Zimbabwe - Age 6
Kayleigh's surgery went very well. The surgeons decided to remove her middle toe as well as reduce the soft tissue build-up around her other toes. Her recovery was so fast that the doctors sent her home already! She slipped past us, and we missed saying goodbye to her. But we expect to see her again in a few weeks. Thank you for your prayers for Kayleigh.

Mbuso
Zimbabwe - Age 16
Mbuso had surgery yesterday! He snuck in at the end of the day, closing the surgery day out. His procedure went as planned, loosening his tendons above his left foot to help it sit flat. He is in the ward recovering with the help of our nurses. His mother, Vusiwe, says he can't wait to get back home and see his brother, who is visiting from out of town. Thank you for keeping Mbuso in your thoughts and prayers.

Mbuso
Zimbabwe - Age 16
Help us welcome Mbuso to CURE Zimbabwe! He is a familiar face from our outpatient clinics, but now he is in the ward preparing for surgery. He was born with cerebral palsy, which is causing clubfoot in his left foot. We are happy to help his family support him to become a more independent individual. Please send him a message welcoming him to the hospital!

Panashe
Zimbabwe - Age 13
Another surgery day for Panashe! He was not nervous at all about undergoing his second procedure, and this time, the doctors are operating on his right leg. He will come out of the operating room with his shin bones rotated and pinned in place to help reposition his foot. Both his feet will point forward, which will help him walk better. His left leg will be recast, and he will spend six weeks with casts on both legs. Please pray for Panashe as he continues on his road to recovery.

Ropafadzo
Zimbabwe - Age 6
It's surgery day! After a two-week wait, Ropafadzo is ready for her operation. Her mother was a little anxious, but our Spiritual Director Jorum prayed over Ropafadzo before she went into the operating room. The procedure will loosen the tendons in Ropafadzo's left leg, releasing her foot to allow it to sit straight. Please continue praying for Ropafadzo as she comes out of the operating room and goes into recovery.
