Meet Grace, a 14-year-old girl with Blount's disease, a rare growth disorder that affects the bones of the lower legs. Doctors at CURE Zimbabwe previously treated her other leg, which was just as bowed. She hopes to be the best dancer at Christmastime. Grace went into the operating room at CURE Zimbabwe for a procedure to help straighten her leg. The surgery was long but successful. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. As Grace recovers in the ward, please offer her more prayers and words of encouragement.
Craig has not only been healing physically, but he has also been studying the Word of God with the ward pastor at CURE Zimbabwe and is interested in giving his life to Christ. This is fantastic news! Craig has also received his discharge papers and left for home. He will return soon for a follow-up appointment with the doctors. Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts. Please continue praying for him as he heals at home.
Kudzwai is doing well after her surgery at CURE Zimbabwe and has been discharged. She will return next month for her follow-up appointment. As she continues her recovery journey, please pray for her. Thank you for your messages of encouragement. May God bless you!
Kudzwai had surgery at CURE Zimbabwe for proximal tibia and fibula epiphysiodesis. Epiphysiodesis is a technique used to control the growth of a bone permanently or temporarily. Each of the long bones in the lower limbs has growth plates. Our surgeons can selectively slow or stop the growth of a bone by targeting one or more of these growth centers. It was a successful surgery! Thank you for your heartfelt messages and prayers. As Kudzwai continues to recover, please pray for her. Thank you!
Lubelihle was at CURE Zimbabwe for her follow-up appointment and is doing well. Dr. Sam will review her again next month. Thank you for your messages and prayers as she progresses on her treatment journey.
