CUREkids Updates

Lwazilwenkosi
Zimbabwe - Age 10
Meet ten-year-old Lwazilwenkosi. He has osteogenesis imperfacta, which causes a child's fragile bones to fracture (crack) easily. He is receiving much-needed treatment at CURE Zimbabwe, hoping to have fewer fractures, which will allow him to play and walk with his friends. As he waits for surgery, please remember him in your thoughts and prayers.

Victoria
Zimbabwe - Age 2
Victoria, who maintained her cheerful personality, will be discharged and continue recovering from home. Thank you for your prayers and encouraging messages. Please keep her in your prayers as she continues her healing process.

Zadok
Zimbabwe - Age 5
Zadok went into the OR for Tendon Achilles Lengthening (TAL), a surgical procedure that aims to stretch the Achilles tendon to allow a person to walk flat-footed. He will be back in the ward recovering after his successful surgery. Thank you for all your prayers and messages.

Nqobile
Zimbabwe - Age 14
Because many kids were scheduled for surgery this week, Nqobile had to be discharged; however, he will return next week for his procedures. As he waits to return to the hospital, we kindly request you to keep praying for him.

Christabel
Zimbabwe - Age 8
With one straight leg and one casted leg, Christabel has been discharged home! She will return soon for her review. While rehabilitating at home, she will make use of a walking frame that our CURE Zimbabwe physical therapy friends provided. Please keep her in your prayers!
