Thandeka
Zimbabwe - Age 3
Thandeka entered the operating room for Achilles tendon lengthening surgery to correct her clubfoot. The procedure involved lengthening the tendon and muscle connecting the calf to the heel bone. This lengthening allows for increased flexibility and range of motion in the ankle and foot. The surgery was a success! Thandeka is currently in the ward at CURE Zimbabwe, recovering well. Thank you for making her surgery a reality. May God continue to bless you. Please continue praying for her as she recovers.

Patience
Zimbabwe - Age 16
Patience went into the operating room for a procedure known as proximal femoral osteotomy, which was a success. The surgery involved cutting the thigh bone and realigning it to improve the alignment of her hip joint. This will help to reduce pain and improve Patience's mobility. She is currently recovering in the ward at CURE Zimbabwe. Thank you for making her surgery possible through your generous support. She could use your prayers as she recovers. Thank you!

Aron
Zimbabwe - Age 2
Aron went into the operating room at CURE Zimbabwe for surgery to correct his right clubfoot. The procedure, known as Achilles tendon lengthening, involved lengthening the tendon and muscle that connects the calf muscle to the heel bone. This lengthening allows for increased flexibility and range of motion in the ankle and foot, effectively correcting clubfoot. The surgery was a success, and Aron is on his way to running and playing with no pain. He is currently in the ward at CURE Zimbabwe, recovering from surgery. Thank you for making his surgery possible through your generous support. Please continue praying for him as he recovers.

Farai
Zimbabwe - Age 7
Farai is a cheerful and resilient young boy who has been making remarkable progress in his recovery from surgery to correct his bilateral clubfoot. He has been in the ward at CURE Zimbabwe for a while now, undergoing multiple surgeries and rehabilitation sessions. Despite the challenges he has faced, Farai has maintained a positive attitude and a playful spirit. https://vimeo.com/891055394/bc6ed8b3e5?share=copy Farai has been enjoying spending time with a staff member, playing checkers. This simple activity has provided him with a welcome distraction from his treatment, allowing him to relax and have fun. The staff member has been impressed by Farai's intelligence and quick wit, and they have developed a strong bond through their checker games. Farai's ability to find joy in the midst of his treatment is a testament to his strength and resilience. Thank you for your continued prayers and messages.

Clive
Zimbabwe - Age 17
Clive is continuing to make progress in his recovery after having surgery to correct his knock knees. He is still in the ward at CURE Zimbabwe, but he can now walk with a walker for extended periods. Clive is in good spirits and is excited to be able to move around more freely. CURE’s comprehensive approach to care doesn’t just happen inside the operating room. Before and after surgery, we ensure children and their families have the tools they need, like walkers, to maximize healing. He is also working hard with his physical therapists to strengthen his muscles and improve his range of motion. Check out this video showing him getting comfortable using his walker: https://vimeo.com/891042074/b5b8674902?share=copy. Thank you for your continued support during his treatment journey. Your prayers are felt!
