CUREkids Updates

Alicia
Zimbabwe - Age 3
Welcome Alicia, a three-year-old girl with bowed legs. This is when a child's legs curve outward at the knees. When a child with bowlegs stands with their toes pointing forward, their ankles may touch, but their knees remain apart. She will be here at CURE Zimbabwe receiving surgical treatment. She is already pacing the ward, making new friends, and proudly demonstrating her ability to count to five! Please join us in welcoming her with a get-well message as well as lifting her up in prayer!

Brenton
Zimbabwe - Age 14
Following the success of his surgery, Brenton is in the ward recovering and looking forward to being able to participate in activities with his friends. Thank you, CURE friends, for your generous donations and support that have made this possible. Please keep Brenton in your thoughts and prayers.

April
Zimbabwe - Age 10
April, who has been using a wheelchair since being released from the hospital, was back at the OPD for her evaluation. Her doctors are pleased by her progress and believe it’s time for her to ambulate using crutches. Afterward, April visited the physical therapist, who provided crutches and instructed her on how to use them. She will return to CURE Zimbabwe in a few months for another assessment. Your prayers and encouraging messages will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Lwazilwenkosi
Zimbabwe - Age 10
Lwazilwenkosi is glad to be back in the ward recovering, grinning despite the discomfort. Would you please send this resilient young man encouraging messages to aid his healing? Thank you!

Brenton
Zimbabwe - Age 14
Brenton went to the OR for Percutaneous Achilles Tendon lengthening. It is a minimally invasive procedure to stretch a tight Achilles tendon and increase motion at the ankle joint. We thank God Brenton’s procedure ended successfully! As he returns to the ward to continue his recovery, kindly keep praying for him and sending him well wishes.
