We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Natasha. When you give a gift through Natasha's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Zambia. Have more questions? Ask us.
Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!
When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Natasha. We call it being a CURE Hero!

“This place is like the pool of Bethesda in the Bible, whoever walks in with faith comes away healed because Jesus is here,” says Silvester, Natasha's father.
Previously, Silvester took Natashia to a local health center to treat her daughter's bowed legs. After several hospital visits, she received surgery at a local hospital by a team of visiting surgeons, but her legs started bending again after a few months. When Silvester took Natashia back to the hospital, he was told that nothing further could be done and prescribed vitamins for her.
Natasha’s condition has not improved and her younger brother, Ipalo, also started developing bowed legs. This really bothered the family considering that a solution to Natasha’s condition had not yet been found. “My wife worries about the state of my children's disability, especially for Natasha since she could be assisting with a few house chores. But she is unable to do that because of her legs,” Silvester told us. The condition has also delayed Natasha from starting school. “She was supposed to have started school, but has been delayed because she can’t walk to school,” Silvester states.
Silvester heard about our upcoming mobile clinic on the radio and took Natasha and Ipalo there for evaluation. They were both booked for treatment at CURE Zambia, and we look forward to seeing them.
Latest Updates
Natasha has been discharged! She going back home with a dressing which will be removed at the local health center. She will be back in about a month for a follow-up with the doctor, and during that visit, she may have a second surgery to correct her right leg. Natasha is going home with a plate in her leg, which will be correcting it over time!
While Natashia is recovering after surgery, we wanted to show a photo of when we first meet her. This photo was taken at the mobile clinic, where she came for screening late last year. We are happy that we found her, and she is on her way to healing!
Natasha is recovering in our ward shortly after surgery. During the surgery, a plate was put on Natasha's left leg. The plate that has been inserted will be correcting her leg over a period of time. When the right degree of correction is achieved, the plate will be removed. Please pray for Natasha as she recovers from the surgery.
