CURE in Zambia

The picture above is of CURE in Zambia. Everyone who serves with CURE in Zambia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Brian. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Brian. When you give a gift through Brian's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Zambia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Brian. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“My son was born like this. I was disturbed at first but I eventually accepted his condition” shares Brian's mother Vera.

Brian is a three years old boy who is an extremely active little guy. This is surprising seeing he was born with a left clubfoot. Soon after he was born, Brian was enrolled in a non-invasive treatment program, but he unfortunately had to stop as his family could afford the many repetitive trips to the hospital the treatment required. In the years since then, Brian has grown up with this condition. He's even learned to walk with his left foot curved in on itself. Unsurprisingly, this is painful for the little guy so his family saved up and bought him rain boots to help cushion his feet. These boots also improved Brian's quality by hiding his disability from the other children. But what will really improved his quality of life is when his grandmother learned about us here at CURE Zambia and recommended her daughter bring Brian to our hospital! Now that they're here, Vera is happy that her son who is the last born in their family of three is finally in a place where he will be treated for his condition! Join us in praying for Brian as he begins his treatment journey!

Brian is a happy kid and having his surgery has only made him happier! His recovery post-op has been good and going smoothly. He's not in much pain and is just kind of hanging out in bed as he needs to keep his leg elevated. Photo of Brian

Brian has had his surgery! Dr Moyo released some of the tendons in Brian's foot which allowed the flexibility to straighten the foot out! In the course of next week, Brian will be back in the OR for a cast change and and a scheduled repositioning of his foot. Pray for Brian as he recovers from the surgery! Photo of Brian
