Everyone who serves with CURE in Zambia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Christine. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Christine. When you give a gift through Christine's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Zambia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Christine. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

" I was born this way, it's often hard to deal with my situation because I am very different from other children and I know it," Christine shared.

Christine was born with clubfoot on both feet and she has struggled with the condition since birth. Her family brought her to be treated at the clinic near her home, however after many casts, her clubfoot didn't go away and her left leg was operated on but still no change happened. Twelve years later, it is now severe and neglected. The doctors have casted her right leg while she waits for surgery next week. Her family heard about CURE through a mobile clinic in their area and decided to take the leap of faith and bring her for treatment. We are so excited to have her with us! Please join our team in praying for and supporting her healing!

The ability to smile in the midst of pain takes an extra measure of grace! But God is faithful, He doesn't give us more than we can bare. We need faith to trust what He says, that He is good and His love is great, in spite of our trials. He is a healer! Thank you for your prayers! Photo of Christine

Today has been a 'sleeping day' for Christine. She barely woke up for five minutes. She has been feeling the pain of surgery a little more today, so please pray that she gets better. God has a purpose for our pain and mostly the pain works to bring out good things in us. All things work together for good according to Romans 8:28! Photo of Christine

Christine had surgery today and she has been in some pain after the surgery, but that is expected. It is nothing more than the pain of recovery. Please keep praying for her from Psalm 147:3 that she is comforted that "Jesus heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Photo of Christine

When your surgery is cancelled due to the list being very long and you being among those at the end, there is nothing more fun than sitting in on the lesson in the play room! Our executive director's wife, Else, was teaching them English today! Christine's surgery has been rescheduled to tomorrow, so hopefully it will be done tomorrow. Please continue praying for her! After a long weekend in the private ward where she was relocated to because of the mosquito spraying that was taking place in the children's ward, Christine is back and awaiting her surgery tomorrow. She says she is fine and she enjoyed her weekend and she can't wait for tomorrow. Praise God! Photo of Christine
