CURE in Zambia

The picture above is of CURE in Zambia. Everyone who serves with CURE in Zambia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Matthews. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Matthews. When you give a gift through Matthews's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Zambia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Matthews. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

"He has been in and out of hospital. He hasn't been able to get surgery because it never was the right time," replied Margaret, Matthews' mom.
Matthews has been through some ups and downs with his health. Although he was malnourished when he was two years old and gets diarrhea periodically, he is otherwise a very playful and jovial boy. He came to CURE in 2015 and was put on physiotherapy treatment to begin the process of healing for the tight tendons he has in his feet that has caused him to walk on his tip toes. He has now been admitted so that he can have surgery. Please join us in praying for Matthews' complete healing!

Matthews was discharged yesterday and he was put on medication and allowed to go home. He will come for review in four weeks time and by then, the doctors will be able to ascertain whether the cast helped or not. Let's keep praying for him! Photo of Matthews

Matthew went into theatre yesterday. Although he was scheduled for surgery, Dr. Muke decided that since he is able to walk only with a little difficulty, it would be beneficial to put his leg in a long cast and straighten his feet into a position that will help his muscles step down without difficulty. It's a good thing he didn't have to go as much pain as a surgery would have been afterwards. Please be praying that this less invasive method will bring him healing! Photo of Matthews

Meet Matthew! He has a 'tip toeing' condition caused by tight tendons in his feet and has seizures from time to time. Today, he has joined us in this new year so he can have surgery to correct his feet so that he can walk normally. Please join us in praying for him! Photo of Matthews
