“My story starts in our place, we stay almost in a forest - it is a remote place where there is the forest and lake. I went to the farm to dig there, I felt the birth pain. On the way to the hospital we ended up at a clinic and delivered three babies," Rosemary shared. We learned that of Rosemary's three babies, Simon was the only one to survive. People in her community gave advice to Rosemary to take him to a nearby government hospital, while others warned her against it and told her to bring him to a private hospital in their area instead. She decided to take him to the private hospital where a nurse told Rosemary to bring him to CURE Uganda. A little while later, Rosemary met a lady who also told her that she had a baby like Simon who received treatment from CURE Uganda. “I had to come to CURE to get treatment, I am just grateful to God that Simon is still alive. I was willing to give anything for him,” said Rosemary. Rosemary’s pregnancy with Simon was her seventh, her other six children are doing well, her first born is 18 years old. Back at home, Rosemary’s husband Godfrey is watching over their kids. Rosemary is a Christian and has been praying often for Simon. Please join her in praying for Simon's healing and thank you for supporting his healing and our ministry to this family!
Simon had a good recovery and was discharged on Saturday! Rosemary was told to bring Simon back on February 11th for a check up. Please remember Simon in your prayers that he will continue to recover well from surgery!
“I am fine. The baby is also fine, he slept well and breast fed well,” said Rosemary. Simon had a calm night in the ICU and was transferred back to the ward this morning. During the ward round Rosemary was told about the procedure, “They told me they made a path for the water,” said Rosemary. Since the operation, Rosemary has noticed a little change in Simon’s forehead which has made her feel good. Please remember Simon in your prayers that he will have a swift recovery.
“I prayed for Simon before he went to surgery. I also talked to my pastor and we prayed together for Simon,” said Rosemary. Today Simon went into surgery where Dr. Justin performed an ETV/CPC. He is now in the ICU with his mother, please keep Simon in your prayers that he will have a successful recovery!
