“From the time Jusline was born, I had many questions. I asked God why He had made Jusline like this and why it had to be me to give birth to a child with a congenital condition. I started to pray more nowadays and now I feel stronger. I have faith that she will be healed,” said Justine. When she was pregnant with Jusline, she was very sickly and she was always in hospitals for check ups and she even did an ultrasound scan, but never did she hear that the baby was unhealthy. Everything showed that the baby was fine, so Justine was dumbfounded when she saw that her baby had a congenital condition. On seeing Jusline’s condition (spina bifida), the doctors started caring for the wound, dressing and treating it until they felt that she was safe to travel to CURE Hospital, then they referred her. Upon arrival at CURE Hospital, Justine said, “This place is different. I only have good to say about CURE Hospital because it is very clean, there is very good care here and above all God is in this place”. Her husband accompanied her but later traveled back because he has to care for their five year old firstborn. Justine is a housewife and her husband works as a driver. They live 300 miles away from CURE Hospital, but Justine says she is very comfortable at the hospital and isn’t worried about anything.

“God is great! Jusline’s head has not increased as the doctors had anticipated. After her surgery when they told me that there was a possibility of her developing hydrocephalus, I was scared and worried and so I started seriously praying. God is good. This is a miracle,” Justine exclaimed. When they showed up for review over the weekend at a mobile clinic, our doctors found Jusline to be completely healthy so she just got a new set of catheters and they did some physiotherapy and by 1pm after Justine had her lunch, a meal of rice and beans, they set off back home. We thank God for what hHe has done in Jusline’s life! Photo of Jusline

There is a possibility that they could go home this weekend if no new concerns come up! This morning, Justine and Jusline were visited by Pastor Simon Peter who prayed for them. Please join Simon Peter and lift up Jusline in prayer that they will soon get to go home. Photo of Jusline

This afternoon while Jusline was having her nap, Justine got her hair plaited. She was told that Jusline may have surgery tomorrow but the doctors haven’t confirmed with her, so she hasn’t informed her family back at home yet. However, Justine says that she is prepared for the surgery if they decide to do it tomorrow. Let us keep praying for her and her daughter. Photo of Jusline
