What am I giving to?

CURE in Uganda

The picture above is of CURE in Uganda. Everyone who serves with CURE in Uganda, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like James. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like James. When you give a gift through James's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Uganda. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with James. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“Since James was born I pray more. We even took him to a pastor for a special prayer session. I and my husband first thought that he was born prematurely because of the size of his head, so we kept him indoors for a while. He seemed ok later on because he would feed well, was mostly sleeping and only cried when he was hungry,” Evalyne, James' mother explained. One day, Evalyne took James to visit his grandparents and when her father Michael saw him he said, "there is a problem." He advised for James to be brought to CURE Hospital immediately. Evalyne has two children so she requested her mother to help and care for their first born while she and James traveled to CURE. James’ father is a builder and he had some money saved, so transport to CURE wasn’t a problem. Please join us in praying for James' healing and for their time with us at CURE, that they would be ministered to and encouraged.

James has already had a brain CT Scan and other blood tests done and he is being admitted in the ward. Please pray for wisdom as our doctors are laying out a plan for his surgery. Evalyne is getting to know the other mothers in the ward and is very happy about the devotions that take place here. Please keep mother and child in your prayers as they await this life changing surgery! Photo of James
