“We realized that Jasper isn’t OK when he was three months, his head was just increasing and his left leg became weak, however prior to that, he had been a very healthy child. I had never seen such a disease before, so when I consulted with my friends, they advised that we take Jasper to a hospital so we took him to Mulago Hospital but we failed to find a neurosurgeon but we saw him the second time. We kept visiting that doctor for a week then he referred us to this hospital,” said Annet. Annet is a housewife and her husband Bosco is a teacher, Jasper is their only child. Bosco is very supportive, he accompanied his family as they traveled to CURE however he couldn’t stay because CURE Hospital only has room for one caretaker to stay. Please be praying for Jasper as he will be going into surgery soon!
Jasper and his mother Annet got to go home over the weekend. We will see them again at the end of February at a follow up clinic in the capital. Please continue to be praying for Jasper!
“When he was still there (operating room) I was so scared, at least now he is out of danger. We are fine, God is working, he is getting better,” Annet told us. Jasper and his mother spent the night in the ICU and today they are being moved back to the ward which makes Annet happy. She has spent the morning by his bed side in the ICU and with her friends sitting outside. Please continue to pray for Jasper, that he has a quick and smooth recovery.
“Jasper is fine, he is awaiting surgery today,” said Annet. Annet spent the morning holding Jasper and chatting with the friends she has made at the hospital. Around noon, Jasper was taken into surgery for an ETV/CPC. He will soon be moved to the ICU where he will be reunited with Annet. Please keep Jasper in your prayers that he will recover quickly.
“Jasper had a very calm night, the doctor told us this morning during rounds that we will watch how the day goes and he will probably have surgery tomorrow,” said Annet. Please keep them in your prayers!
“Jasper cries a lot these days and I feel bad whenever he cries, luckily I am in a hospital. At this hospital I seen other children with conditions similar to Jasper’s, they have been treated and are doing but I won’t be satisfied until Jasper is well too,” said Sarah. Jasper is being prepped for surgery, please pray for him!
