Vienns

Philippines - Age 9
November 7, 2022

Help welcome our new pal, Vienns! One of the reasons his treatment didn’t succeed when he was a baby was that his parents could not afford lodging and expenses for their daily needs, as the hospitals that could help were very far from where they lived. Fast-forward to the present, another opportunity for sponsored surgery has been presented to Vienns' family. Although Tebow CURE Hospital is also far away from their hometown, Vienns and Mommy Jennifer were free lodging and support from our partner organization, Seeds of Dignity. They won't have to worry about anything other than recovering and gaining strength! Indeed, God is a good God who provides more than one can ask or imagine! Vienns is currently undergoing the first phase of clubfoot correction, which is weekly cast changes to prepare him for surgery. Please be praying that Vienns will be patient as he begins his journey toward becoming clubfoot-free!

Help us welcome our new friend, Riyan! Her daily routine includes going to school and playing with her friends. But since her accident, she’s been experiencing difficulty standing, walking, and playing for longer periods of time due to the difference in length between her two legs. Thankfully, all this is about to change as she will undergo corrective surgery at the Tebow CURE Hospital! Please give her a warm welcome by sending her get-well messages and prayers! Thank you! https://youtu.be/KyUFeFnNj2s

Renzie

Philippines - Age 4
October 19, 2022

Renzie’s patience has finally paid off as he finally graduated from the casting phase! Doctors Micah, Eide, and Doctor Kenneth, a resident surgeon undergoing training with us performed a tendon lengthening to help release the tightness at the back of Renzie’s foot. A tendon transfer was then performed to restore his foot’s function and correct its deformity. Through the procedure, the tendon is transferred to the outer side of the foot to correct the alignment. Afterwards, his foot was put in a cast to keep it flat and in place. We thank God for his successful surgery and we thank all of you for your prayers!

Claire

Philippines - Age 5
October 18, 2022

Help us welcome our new friend, Claire! She is currently in kindergarten, and according to Mommy Mariel, she is painfully shy and rarely talks. “This probably stems from her condition,” she told us. Thanks to the friendly nature of Child Mentor Shierra, we finally got her to talk with us, and she feels more at ease with everyone at the hospital. Doctor Eide assessed the situation of her feet and explained the plan of treatment to Mommy Mariel. Claire started with her first cast to gradually correct her left foot before proceeding with surgery. Please give Claire a warm welcome and encourage her as she begins her journey to becoming clubfoot-free by sending her messages on her profile! Thank you!

Alexander

Philippines - Age 17
October 17, 2022

After several years of waiting and praying, Alexander finally underwent corrective surgery! The medical team worked on correcting the bow in Alexander's left leg through a procedure called "osteotomy". This is a technique in which the bones in his lower leg called the tibia and fibula were cut and realigned to achieve correction. Then, they put Alexander's leg in a cast to keep it stable while his bones healed. Alexander's surgery was a success, so thank you for your prayers and support!  Please continue to pray for him as he recovers!
