Take a look at who visited the Tebow CURE this week! Edrianne, our adorable pal, looks great with his beautifully repaired lip! He's in the hospital for the second time to repair his palate. It was a relatively simple procedure, and we are grateful that he is recovering nicely. Doctor Shera has released him and instructed Mommy Geraldine to feed Edrianne liquids and soft foods for the next three weeks to avoid food particles puncturing the surgical site. We'll see him again in September, so please continue to pray for his speedy recovery till then!

Our medical team worked hard for almost seven hours to perform Jequiline’s surgery. Doctor Andrew (middle), together with Doctor Dorothy (left), a Visiting Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and Nurse April (right), first released the contracted skin on the back of Jequiline’s thigh, enabling the contracture to be partially released. They then harvested a skin graft containing tissue, blood vessels, and skin from the side of her thigh to cover up the exposed portion from where the contracture was released. It took hard work and lots of faith, but Jequiline is finally out of the operating room! She will have to stay at the hospital over the weekend to recuperate. Please pray that there will be continuous blood supply to the grafted flap and continue to encourage her as she heals by sending her get-well messages!
We rejoice with Andrea and her family as their prayer has been granted! Andrea spent the morning in the operating room, where our medical team performed an "osteotomy," a surgical procedure that straightens the bones after they have healed crookedly due to a fracture. They made an incision in Andrea's right elbow, exposing the "humerus," the longest bone in the upper limb. They then had to break the bones again so they could be re-aligned with surgical pins. Andrea's arm was put in a sling to keep it stable while she heals. Andrea's surgery went smoothly thanks to your prayers, and she is recovering well. Next week, we'll see her for a follow-up! For the time being, she will be staying at a lodge provided by one of our partner organizations, Seeds of Dignity, to avoid long-distance travel while she recovers!

Little darling Keonna has returned, and we praise God that her surgery finally pushed through this time! The medical team repaired the little split on her lip and will close the palate (the roof) of her mouth when she is eleven months old. Indeed, God's delays are not denials, and we appreciate your prayers for the success of her surgery! We're looking forward to seeing her again in September for her follow-up appointment to see how she's doing!
We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve Andrea here at the Tebow CURE Hospital this week! Andrea aspires to be a police officer but is concerned that her crooked elbow would disqualify her. Although this is still in the far future and Andrea's decision may change, her wish for healing will finally be granted as she has surgery this week! Please keep Andrea in your thoughts and prayers as she enters the operating room!
