Izz Ryker came back for a follow-up cast change. He wasn't a big fan of the process but he bounced right back to his cheerful self moments after he received some cookies to take home. We asked him how old he was and Izz Ryker tried to figure out how to show "two" using his fingers. Experiencing a setback is never easy, but we are here to walk with Izz Ryker and his family! Thank you for your continuous prayer and support!
Basty came in for clinic and he finally had his dressing removed. We guided him on how he can wash his arm, including the surgical site, so he won't worry about it at home. It's safe to say that his hand is healed superficially but will take more time to heal within, which means he will need to wait awhile before he can cycle again. Basty isn't physically ready to get back in the saddle just yet but we trust that he will grow in patience as he waits to become fully healed!
We were happy to see Alexandra in clinic. She showed us how much strength she's gained since her surgery. As expected, Alexandra got her X-ray done and it showed that her bone is healing well! In a few months, the surgical rod and screws used to keep her bone stabilized will be taken out. Alexandra gets to go back to her day-to-day activities as she waits. Thanks for praying for Alexandra! We look forward to seeing her again in a few months!
Jhon checked-in with us a little earlier than expected, but we are glad that he came in to have his dressing changed. His wounds need to be cleaned regularly so the infection clears out. Would you please pray for this infection to go away? We are so proud of Jhon for being so brave as he waits for God to answer his prayers for healing!
All in all, Tresha’s stay with us has been short but sweet! She was already cleared for discharge and was given some medication to manage the pain on her surgery site while recovering at home. Before ending her “mini-vacation” here at the hospital, she made sure to fuel up by eating her favorite fried chicken meal! We will see her again next month and until then, please continue to lift up her recovery in your prayers!
