God has been so good! Prince's blood pressure in the past few days has been stable. While he is still being monitored and taking maintenance medication for his blood pressure, his mother, Marites, decided to stop working to take care of Prince. She was scared that Prince had a seizure while she was at work and said she wouldn't allow that to happen again. Praise God, Prince is now doing well, and the medical team removed his casting and transitioned him to wearing a brace to support his leg. Prince is a tough boy despite going through a lot. Please pray for him as he continues to heal!
Rhian and his mother finally arrived at Tebow CURE! They rose early today to make the journey for Rhian's initial appointment. Dr. Eide plans to perform an osteotomy surgery to correct Rhian's bowed leg. He will return soon for his pediatric clearance. Please pray for Rhian's good health and that he receives clearance for his surgery. Thank you!
"I could not force AJ to go back to school. Bullying because of his clubfoot has been why my son doesn't want to go to school anymore, and I know this surgery will really make a difference in his life," Rochel, AJ's mother, shared. Fortunately, he has undergone a successful surgery! Dr. Eide (pictured in the middle) performed a procedure where the tendon connected to the inner front of the foot was repositioned to the opposite side, helping AJ's foot turn outward instead of inward. The medical team applied a cast to AJ's foot afterward. He is recovering, so please pray for him as he heals! Thank you!
AJ was admitted to Tebow CURE and turned eleven today! His mother, Rochel, told us this was the best birthday gift for AJ. He has dreamt of having his clubfoot straightened so he can wear proper slippers and shoes. Although AJ told us he missed his home and wanted to celebrate his birthday there, he could not contain his excitement that the day he had been waiting for had finally arrived! Please wish AJ a Happy Birthday and pray for a successful surgery!
Ann Marielle had a difficult night following her surgery, as she endured pain and struggled to get enough sleep! We let her catch some rest, but when we revisited her, she continued to express discomfort. To alleviate her pain, the medical staff provided Ann Marielle with medication. Later in the afternoon, she was discharged and is scheduled to return for a follow-up appointment soon. Please pray for comfort and that she will regain her strength!
